I received this TV yesterday two days ealier than it was scheduled...amazingly fast free shipping (ordered Sat, and received Wed). Like so many others have said, the picture is amazing. I am running bunny ears to pull local HD programming and it looks amazing. My old DVD progressive scan player also looks amazing. I've got a Roku in the mail from Amazon as well...and have gotten away from the cable guy except for internet service. Who needs it? Prime time sitcoms and sports and countless netflix movies and TV shows is all the TV I need in my life....more of a music guy. This TV looks as good or better than any TV I have ever seen anywhere....really happy with this purchase. Also, some people buy from big box overpriced stores because they don't like the idea of something this large being shipped to them. How do they think it got to the store? Also, have you TRIED to return anything to BB? Amazon's return policy is better anyways. Brick and mortar retail is dead within 10 years. Those who are still shopping for LCD HDTV models should simply look at Cnet ratings and HD-geek forums. Plasma rules! Unfortunately many major manufacturers left plasma market to save on the cost of running in 2 categories. Good for Panny, as they are practically monopolists in quality plasma TVs.
G10 series gives you everything you wished for in the HDTV: great colors, blacks, image quality - enough said in other reviews. Sound is Ok for a rater slim design TV set, which means good/great for most users. With RJ-45 cable (not included) connected to your router you get instant weather and youtube thru Viera Cast - nice features. However, Amazon's direct movie rental is pricey and I would much prefer access to Netflix.
I connected it to my PC via VGA cable for picture and A/V for sound. The best PC picture I got after adjusting the resolution to 1366x1024 (note that TV menu does not show that option so you have to do it on your video card).

Amazon uses an independent distributor to sell this TV (dependable resources). The TV I was shipped had a crack in the screen and because the company is independent not only does Amazon not have the ability to send out a replacement TV, but they cannot even contact the independent contractor to see if they can send out a TV. So what happens is that, if you have limited funds like me, you have to wait 2-4 weeks for Amazon to give you a refund for the over $1000 you just dropped, so that you can buy another TV. The best part is, there is no way to ensure that if you bought this item off Amazon again that it would not come broken the second time and, thus, repeat the whole problem over again. So do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere other than Amazon that way you might actually get what you want without the massive headache.

This would make my 3rd hdtv and I started out with a 1080p Lcd and hated the picture so bad that I went with a 720p last year model panasonic plasma and loved the picture & quality! I to be honest gave Led/Lcd another look & 1st off I am no picture guru & I have to say if you do for some strange reason love that fake over bright picture of an Led you can put this Panny on vivid & oh my god you have a Led plasma..lol.
But anyway like the older 720p the menu is about the same with a few extras & the biggy being THX setting that does by all means give one of the must natural real looking pictures that I have ever seen! This baby even looks good on sd & Hd thru direct or bluray is like watching Hd for the 1st time with this G10! I did read an article that said well there is not much differance to 720p vs 1080p man were they wrong even just a slight jump in size from a 42' TO A 46" Is extremly a whole new ball game! I did read Cnet's review and cant imagine blacker blacks! The black bars are just as black as the frame! The plasma even looks great when not on! I purchased my g10 from Amazon for what I feel was a steal at just a grand! Before purchasing I wanted to see this bad boy in person & could not!
Best Buy,HH Greg,Sears no one had any G10's or 15's. So I read more reviews and more reviews & so I went with it a 46" Panny G10!

I was feeling overwhelmed by the various HDTV choices, did my research as well as I could, and took the plunge with this TV. I can honestly say its the best product I've purchased in a long while. It arrived on time, was simple enough to set-up by myself, and looks great where I put it. I've had it a couple of months now, so can't comment on the long term, but at least for now I am thrilled with the picture quality. I would buy this product again through Amazon.
